Hi guys! Welcome to fall! I’m so excited! Don’t laugh at me🧐 I made up the name of this series and I’m sticking with it and you can’t tell me I’m wrong because this shit is hilarious and you can call me names and make fun of me but it’s not going away.

So I’m a summer girl, and I love the sunshine and the beach and a reasonable amount of heat, but this year’s heat wave has made me very excited for cooler weather.

Since I’ve had this blog going for most of the summer, I’ve been thinking of doing a Summer Faves and Updates post, because I’ve had so many new things to try and definitely gravitated towards a select few. So welcome to Wins and Sins. Don’t laugh at me. It’s the only name that’s not taken. 🧐 Everything else is already taken. Yass or pass, slays or nays, faves x fails, everything is taken. This is the best I could come up with. You’re going to read it and you’re going to like it. Be glad it’s not Sures and NRRRRRRRRRRRRs. Okay? Okay.

I’ve obviously been loving the Yensa foundation I got – even though my skin is already paling out from the lack of sunshine this summer. I thought I got a lot of sun, but I didn’t go out much the last few months. I just didn’t feel like it. This foundation is so silky, full coverage, love it so much, have been using it consistently. A second but also loved foundation was the Charlotte Tilbury one I wrote about, and that one’s been nice too because it’s very easy to blend contour into but not so watery that everything blends everywhere.

I’ve also been using my Beauty Crop Liquid Eyeshadow Duo more often too – I decided to try and blend it out for something subtle close to the lid, and I actually really enjoy how it blends. So far I’ve only been using the matte color, because the shimmer one doesn’t appear to be blendable, just put it where it’s gonna go. The only thing with this is, it breaks down pretty easily. It’s good for a few hours out, but I can’t wear this for a full work day it starts to clump up in my crease and then if I blink too hard to get sleep out of my eyes, it transfers down to my lower lashline and looks like I cry that color. Not that this happened recently or anything.

I also discovered a brand I really like: Earth Harbor. So far I’ve enjoyed all the products I’ve gotten from them from several boxes – the mermaid milk moisturizer is super nice and lightweight, the siren silk (review coming up next month!) is super smooth, and the cleansers and masks have been really nice as well.

I’ve kept my Earth Harbor Glow Juice Enzyme Mask in the fridge and applied it cold, and it’s so refreshing. I’ve barely gone through any of it as well because it’s so hard to get out of the jar 👅

The only thing with all the Earth Habor products is they have incredibly strong fragrances – if i use too much of the mermaid milk or the glow juice, I have to hold my breath and fan my face to dry them down otherwise I cough a lot. I’m not sure if they’re fragranced that way on purpose, but it’s overwhelming.

My Alleyoop Stack the Odds hasn’t gotten much love but I do like the cream blush a lot, it blends in with my foundations and it’s a good shade on me when I’m pale or tan.

I don’t go out these days without the Complex Culture Pout Clout lipsticks I got and I’m in the market for more colors – they’re creamy and soft, even before I’ve heated them up with my lips, and they have excellent coverage.

I still am loving my AHAVA mud mask, but I have to say when you wash it off you’ve gotta be so careful because it stings like a MOFO if it gets in your eyes. When I wash this thing off I get the water warm and get everything I need within arms reach like my cleansing cookie and my towel, because once this mask gets wet I do not open my eyes.

My Danielle Tote Bag from Henny & Lev already broke at the handle. So whatever. It wasn’t meant to be.

I have also been obsessed with the FAB Coconut Skin Smoothie primer/moisturizer and am going to purchase it again when I run out. It’s shimmery and thick and it doesn’t pill, even when I use other heavy products. It’s one of those products that I get excited to use, and I don’t get excited as much anymore about products that way.

I also gave the Radiant Micellar Water another try, the one from Refreshments. It’s the one with the weird packaging but I think I’m getting used to it. A few days ago I was only wearing a skin tint and didn’t want to use my Juno makeup remover because I don’t have much left, so I just used this micellar water – and I liked it, it took my makeup off really nicely and didn’t sting. I’m planning to use it for light makeup days instead of my heavy makeup remover. Thanks for reminding me, by the way, that I need to buy more of my cleansing balm.

Okay! I bought more cleansing balm ^-^

Still not a fan of the Tea Tree Avrani Serum just because of its texture, but I plan to keep using it because that shiiizzz essspensive. And even though it’s very watery, I know it’s helping with my acne.

Also not liking the Cela mask I got, I ended up tossing that one. Goes on nice but it hardens down in an uncomfortable way and hurts my face. I much prefer my Asarai Earth Tones clay mask, that goes on smooth and stays velvety even when dry. Can leave that on for hours if I want to.

Basically enjoying none of the August Kinder Beauty Box base box items I got – the shave cream was awful, the palette was not as described, and the tiny lil sample of skin cream I got was enough for maybe one week. I have been using the toner from the previous month though, the Chiky Botanica one, and it smells so good, I use it before bed and it’s such a relaxing fragrance. If you want to check out my review for that month’s box, it’s here.

Also never used the Kiss my Liquid Lip from Roen Beauty. I don’t know how this could be a lip balm, it’s literally a highly pigmented liquid lipstick just with no dry down. Like, that’s all it is.

And that wraps up my thoughts! This one was more off-the-cuff but I enjoyed flipping through my old spreadsheets and being like oh yeah, the other day I tried that again … wasn’t as bad … or was even worse…

September boxes are going to start coming in soon! Very excited to see the stuff I got/added on. I tried to be a little more responsible this month so I didn’t spend as much.

If you’re interested in seeing my Poshmark the link is here – feel free to send offers and go back through my posts to look at more detailed reviews. There are also items up that I haven’t necessarily posted reviews for 😉

If anything interests you, shoot me a comment on the item and say you’re from the blog, I’ll make sure to get you a great deal.

Thanks for reading! Keep an eye out for the next few beauty boxes, they’re going to be wild
